I have always been active in art but took up 35mm photography in college during the 80s. Over the years, I have followed the advances in photographic techniques and technologies and enjoy exploring different methods and subject matter. Lately, I feel drawn to the worn and imperfect, showing moments of change and the passage of time (Wabi-sabi)

Beautifully captured, Steven! Your compassion is commanding, bringing the eye in where you want it to go. You must have caught this in the "Golden Hour" (I'm guessing morning) which is not only giving you the best light, it is providing you with some contrasting shadows. And these two elements, the morning light and shadow, are illuminating and accenting all the other elements, from the graffiti to the rust, flaking paint and the overall tone and texture of the ironwork! Very nicely done!
Steven Nelson replied:
Thank you! It was golden hour, but it was end of day. I was rapidly loosing the light so the landscapes from the bridge weren't as interesting as the bridge itself
